Regarding medicine
I am a lactating mother of a 10 and half month old baby..I went to a psychiatrist for some issues..he prescribed me flunil 10, etilaam 0.25 and saint 200..are these medicines safe to take while breastfeeding??

Why don’t you try counselling first? If you can avoid medication at this stage ? Depression post delivery can be treated through counselling. I am an online counselor and can help you. Hello, The treatment is decided on the basis of risks and benefits of antidepressant treatment versus nontreatment to both the baby and the mother. For many patients this means using antidepressants. As in your case the kid is already 10 and half months old and must be taking top feeds so you need to take medication after you had fed the baby. If after taking medication baby requires milk then he can be given top fed. It's usually recommended to breastfeed after 6-8 hour of taking medicine.
