Reg: TM Joint
I am facing difficulty and pain due to TM Joint for last one month. Recently the pain is aggravating in the right ear and in the jaw. Initially i thought it was an ENT problem and consulted an ENT doctor. He diagnosed and confirmed it is a TM Joint issue. He said, it seems like a slight dislocation in the jaws. Regarding to this, i have few queries. To cure this dislocation, does it need any surgery?? What caused this TMD? Can it be adjusted without surgery( as suggested in youtube videos). Kindly suggest me the appropriate solution and fo the needful. Thanks..

Hello mam, I am sorry to hear about your sufferings and there is no surgery for these kind of problems available . Surgery has more complications and risk.  It's better you follow with physiotherapy of the joint and follow dentist instructions to prevent further damage of the joint . There is no cure for these type of joint problem. You can prevent it from further damage. Make sure you extract all the malposed wisdom teeth after complete examination by a dentist . Hi..the one and only way to cure TMJ disorder is by braces. No physiotherapy or any other treatment works for it. TMJ disorder causes are - 1. Deep bite            or 2. Accidents            or 3. Bruxism or night grinding

TMD is exact reason can be ruled out through a perfect evaluation of the pain along with investigation. * TMJ joint complaint * Injury or trauma to the TMJ * Grinding or clinching for longer period *Arthritis Etc can be the reason mainly seen in patients.. Surgical procedures done only as a last option, as most of the TMD issues can be solved through conservative therapies like, soft diet, taking pain killers, mild relaxation excercises, avoid fibrous food etc...
