On the 4th day of viral fevernoticed redness in one eye in the conjunctiva and light sensitivity. Eyelids of same eye are a bit swollen and painful. Feels like having a grain of sand in the eye. Otherwise no blurriness. Just dull pain. Desire to keep eye closed or in low lightning conditions. Wondering how feasible and safe it is to go to a doctor

Your symptoms are suggestive of viral conjunctivitis
Try
A. Use two handkerchiefs one for each eye
B. Cold compresses
C. Use antibiotic eyedrop like moxifloxacin 4 times daily along with lubricating eyedrop frequently like refresh tears
D. You may use soft steroid like fluorometholone eyedrop if inflammation is severe under guidance of ophthalmologist
