Red Eye with slight pain

Asked for Female, 30 Years

I have red eye with slight pain and irritation. I am 9 month pregnent. The doctor prescribed cefolac 200, ceficime tablet ip, genticyne eye drop. I checked for genticyne and it says unsafe during pregenency. Should I consult another doctor.

Any drug which is unsafe during pregnancy needs to be replaced by drug which is safe. Though chances of eye drops causing problems at 9th month of pregnancy is rare it is ideal to change to a safer alternative You seem to be suffering from acute conjunctivitis and you definitely need antibiotic eye drops
