I am 23 years old male. I don't feel any excitement in my real life. I am a Maladaptive daydreamer and I have been doing it since childhood. Real things do not excite me but imagination does. What could be the reason for that? I feel so excited about certain things while daydreaming but when it comes to my real life i don't feel that much energy or excitement. I feel everything is fake , no meaning and so on. What can be the reason for my thinking?

If this is your only issue that you enjoy being in fantasy life and feeling real life is fake, then you need to go for cognitive behavior therapy. Consult a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist for the same
