What is the average rate of progression of honeycombing. I have minimal right now .. curreny I am taking pirfenidone. Just wanted to know the average rate of progression and is it safe to have lung transplant?

Rate of progression depends on many factors. There is no clear cut value. Are you diagnosed as IPF? Regarding safety of lung transplant, it needs proper evaluation of your total health status including your pulmonary fn, cardiac status and all. That needs to be evaluated at a transplant centre by a trained team

Progression of honey coombing depends on severity of disease,extent of the disease etc...
Lung transplant is safe nowadays. However follow up is very important.
