Rabies vaccine given in gluteal region
Got scratched by a cat. I was prescribed 3 doses of Rabivax IM on Days 0, 3, and 7. However, the first dose was given in the gluteal region, and for the other doses, the injection site was rubbed for a few seconds. To compensate, I took 2 more doses on Days 28 and 42. All doses other than first were in deltoid (but site was rubbed). Am I protected now?

You are well protected by the vaccine. It’s not ideal to rub the site in general. Be careful with your next injection.
