We are planning for a second child, doctor suggested us to take PYRILONG F TABLET. My wife is 35 years old. Need to know what purpose this table serves and what are the side effects.

The tablet prescribed contains Pyridoxine (Vit B6) and Folic acid.
Administration of Folic acid prevents occurrence of certain congenital malformations in the baby. Pyridoxine helps in conception to a certain extent. The drug usually doesn't have any side effect. Side effects are seen in mild form in few cases. Not all side effects occur in the same patient. They include - Nausea, Allergy, Bitter taste in the mouth, Sleeping disturbances, Bloating sensation etc.
