Pure Neuritic Leprosy
Hi There, I was diagnosed with PNL(Pure Nuritic Leprosy) back in 2009. I took advice of multiple neuro physicians and thay ran no. of test on me inclusing MRI and nerve conduction study and finally it was nerve biopsy which concluded that i have got PNL. I took MDT (dapsone, rifampicin, clofazimine) for almost 3 yrs but damage done to nerve is not curable. I already have partial peripheral neuropathy in my right leg and have almost lost sensory feeling (hot/cold) and a bit of motor involvement (i can walk and move my toes easily). I have had that sever pain in my leg before taking MDT and nowdays i feel the same pain again sometimes and i also feel bit of a sensory loss in my right hand. I am looking for an advise from someone who is an expert in treating PNL. I live in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Is PNL really curable ?? I doubt it. Pls help.
