Hi, your question is not complete. With the limited points from your question. It's completely normal to have mild to moderate pain immediately after root canal(for the first two to three days), provided the root canal has been done properly by a specialist (preferably). Since u have not mentioned how your pain was before root canal, I couldn't comment much . But what u have to look for is the pain has to slowly drop down as days passed by. As your doctor as already given u pain killers have it and don't load the side where root canal is been done for chewing, within 5 days everything should be fine.
Next Steps
If the pain is becoming more in intensity, check with your dentist immediately and find out the reason for it( as there is multiple reasons)
Health Tips
Do not hesitate and wait to meet your dentist if your pain is increasing as days passes by.
