Pneumothorax
We have a pneumothorax patient to whom pipe has been inserted to take out the air bubbles but from last 9 days air bubbles are still there in the pipe and now the fluid is there in the lungs may be because of infection and the colour of the fluid is yellow. Dr has sent for various investigations which includes gene expert and cytology as well. Kindly suggest at the earliest

It appears that you the pt has developed broncho pleural fistula. Kindly consult an interventional pulmonologist

That is a hydropneumothorax with probably a bronchopleural fistula,he needs VATS .

As u mentioned,let me clear its a hydro-pneumothorax (Both air & fluid).Let the fluid reports to come,that will clear the the cause.and consult your Chest Physician.
