Please answer
Hi doctor . . . .I have sex in period in July, have contraceptive pills also and that month I have period for 2 times but in Aug I don't have periods . . . I also checked for pregnancy but it was negative . . . pls answer . . . tensed. .

Thank you for your question. If you are taking your pills correctly the chance of pregnancy is less than 1%. If you are having irregular bleeding this may be because of missing tablets or changing the pill timings. Rarely it can be because of an infection. Please see your gynaecologist to be checked out. they can also guide you regarding your fears about pregnancy. Please ask to be told about the correct way to take the pill again and what to do if you miss one or more pills. You can read more about the pill on the FPA website.
