PICA - eating disorder
My wife is a 23 years old who is suffering from Pica - likes to eat paper and that too in huge quantities like 50 pages/ day etc. She started eating paper from 14 years of age and has continued till now on and off. She also tells me that she really likes the smell of petrol and cigarette smoke. After numerous attempts to get rid of her habit, now I'm seriously looking for her to seek medical treatment and advise because she has not been able cure it with her will-power and effort alone. Can you pls let me know whether any specific solution exists for same. Happy to consult you professionally.

Next Steps
you can take my appointment so that we can assess her condition and provide the necessary help.

Seek professional help immediately. There are.many medical and surgical complications that can occur due to eating things not meant for consumption. She will require consultation with both a Psychiatrist and a physician.
