Hello Doctor, we visited you for my mom's neck pain and you had prescribed physiotherapy with neck exercises with ultrasound and SWD. The therapist also recommended traction. Should we do traction also?

• Hot fomentation x twice daily. • Neck Exercises. • Neck Stretching. • Postural Correction. • Shoulder Shrugs . • Core Strengthening Exercises. • Take frequent Breaks at work • Use cervical pillow.

Hi, Greetings, Based on the age of the patient and severity of the pain with nerve impingement. Surely you can go for Traction. Traction itself we have many Technic, please approach with Physiotherapist they will help you.

Hi, if u have radiating pain in the arms then you can go for traction otherwise u can with  continue US and SWD.

If it's necessary, better  get it done. You need  to  assess  her bone density,  if bones are osteoporotic;  it's not  advisable  to  go for traction and based  on the  severity of pain and problem,  mostly  an experienced  physiotherapist  can easily  do this job.
