PCOS, skin and weight
I was detected with PCOS last year. Was prescribed to Diane-35 pills. My periods did sort of become regular, also my hairfall stopped and skin improved. But I would still like to see an increase in the flow as it is very little, maybe just a day or two of bleeding and done, and, around 3 months back I had sever cystic acne breakouts along the jawline and cheeks. It's RED! And painful. I've never had this kind of breakout ever in my life. I will be shifting abroad for studies so I want to know how can I cure this PCOS and get my skin cleared ASAP. No external or topical medicine is working on the acne. It looks like the acne is being caused by the PCOS issue itself. My diet is controlled, low carbs as suggested, home cooked food and healthy for sure, I keep myself active and take walks but no weight loss happening. Please suggest. I have attached my USG reports for reference. Thanks.

Hi, first pcos is not a disease, it is complex syndrome, so no permanent cure for it. By lifestyle change and weight management it can be kept under control. Any diet stimulating androgen secretion will exaggerate acnes and will reduce menstrual flow. There for low celery high quantity diet as well frequent face washing may help you. From medicine point of view you may start myoinositol twice a day for about 3 mts.
