Papilary carcinoma of thyroid
I had a surgery dur to cyst occured in neck my doctor removed my cyst. In biopsy result it says about possible papillary carcinoma of thyroid. But in earlier test like FNAC and all it says no cancer cells. Please help and sujest.

Fnac result depends on area from where the tissue is take.Biopsy is more reliable and accurate!

Sometimes in a cystic swelling, FNAC will yield only fluid but the tumor might be on the cyst wall. A biopsy is the gold standard. If it confirms cancer, you might need total thyroidectomy (surgery to remove entire thyroid).
