It sounds like you may have developed a condition called plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the plantar fascia, a band of tissue that runs from the heel to the toes. Wearing poorly fitted shoes can often contribute to the development of this condition. To manage the pain and swelling, you can try: 1. Resting and avoiding activities that exacerbate the pain 2. Applying ice to the affected area for 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day 3. Doing stretching exercises for the plantar fascia and calf muscles 4. Taking over-the-counter pain relievers, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, as directed 5. Wearing shoes that provide proper support and cushioning for your feet If the pain and swelling do not improve after a week or two of self-care, it's best to consult with a healthcare provider or a podiatrist for a proper evaluation and further treatment options.

When do you get the pain? When does the pain get better? Does medicine help relieve pain? Ice fomentation helps? These are some questions which can help clinch the diagnosis for me.. Prima facie doesn't look like a serious problem and can get better.
