All the teeth are very important for us for mastication. If any tooth extract we can face another lot of problems. We have to clinically seen First than we can decide we have to extract it or we can save it by Root canal treatment. What will be the Right treatment.
It depends on the position of your wisdom teeth, if the tooth is functional in your mouth it is better to save it. But if this tooth is not helping you in chewing food then you can opt for the extraction option.
Hello good morning
Regarding your doubt of whether to save or remove the wisdom tooth depends on various factors...
If your tooth is in state of saving and after doing the Rct if this tooth is going to serve you for long time period then you can consider saving it..,
But if the prognosis of rct and this tooth is not fair enough then make up ur mind and go for extraction...
Regards and take care...
Hello dear practo user,
An xray of the tooth would have given us a clear picture to advice u on it.. anyways if the tooth is badly decayed, better extract it ..do root canal only if it is easily possible because the third molars are usually in the least accessible areas and it may become inconvenient even for the dentist to work ..so go ahead and book an appointment with a dentist near you and he will be able to guide u in a better way.. all the best.
Generally wisdome teeth decay badly due to their position inside mouth. They are in non reachable and non cleansable area. If you have all the other molars present in your mouth to for extraction as doing a rootcanal in wisdome teeth is quite difficult for patients as mouth opening is restricted plus tooth falls in nonvisible areas so chance of doing it 100%correctly are less. Go for extraction and get rid of that infection asap.
