Pain in the abdomen

I have a subtle pain in the abdomen whenever I eat spicy food. The pain stays for quite some time. Do I have peptic ulcer? It happens only when I eat something spicy.

Hi there...you could be suffering from acute gastritis. Peptic ulcer can only be diagnosed after endoscopy. For gastric pain, You need to follow a healthy diet. Avoid spicy foods, oily foods, outside junk foods, sweets and sugars as much as possible. Have 4-5 short meals per day, instead of three big meals. Also drink plenty of water in between meals and little water during meals. You can take pantoprazole 40mg once in the morning half hour before your breakfast for one week. Sometimes stress can also trigger gastritis. So try relaxation methods like yoga or meditation. Also do not starve for too long. If this doesn't give you relief then consult a general physician or surgeon for further evaluation.

Hi. You might have a hyperemic area which is like a scratch and not necessarily a peptic ulcer. Use yastimadhu churna 1tsp, boil it with 50ml water and 50ml milk till only milk portion remains. Drink it lukewarm, sip by sip. Do it 2 times a day. Use Drakshadi churna 2tsp twice daily after food mixed with melted ghee and licked. Continue for atleast 3 months. If your condition does not improve after 10 days, approach nearby Ayurveda doctor.
