Pain in mouth and nerves
My dad used to chew tobacco , now he have all his tooth taken out yet he is having pain related to mouth and nerves. I am not actually sure whom to consult as he is having tooth ache and can not sleep coz of it. He is also having some nerves connected in heavy pain. Plz sugget whom to consult.

Hello, according to the symptoms that you are explaining that can be beacuse of wearing away of teeth or may be because of any long standing extraction after whichg replacement was not done and now the nerve part is exposed or a no. of causes. surely you should visit a dentist

It's basically a case of dentist for sure...he must be having lot of attrision of the tooth due to his habit so once you consult any dentist n then go ahead....

As you said all teeth have been remived so pain is not related to tooth. It may be case of trigeminal neuralgia which has trigger points. Just visit mds in oral medicine to get confirm diagnosis.

Because of the history of chewing tobacco, he might be having problems in cheeks and gums. Also tooth roots may be left inside.
