Pain in heels and ankles
My mother is 56 years old and seems to have developed pain in heels and ankles and this intensifies when she tries getting up after sitting or lying down for a while. What could this be?

hello, The typical pain which occurs in the heel or feet especially on getting up in the morning and walking a few steps can be due to tendinitis of the heel cord, bursitis insertional tendinitis,plantar fascitis . Each of these have different treatment modalities. Please consult an Orthopaedic surgeon to identify and treat
