If there is no history of injury to your left foot and you have severe pain with difficulty in walking, it could a case of plantar fascitis or TA tendonitis... depending on site of pain. It should be confirmed with physical examination with an ortho or a physiotherapist.
Next Steps
Once confirmed, physiotherapy treatment can be started which will include pain management, stretching the plantar fascia and strengthening of calf muscles.
Health Tips
You can try hot fomentation at home by keeping your feet in hot water in a bucket. It might ease the pain temporarily.

is it your left heel which is giving you trouble?? if you have no history of trauma to your left foot, then it's most likely plantar fascitis of left foot...we can treat it conservatively..
