Pain in the balls in young people is a usually harmless condition called orchalgia, where there is no specific cause detectable. It can be ignored with some painkillers if needed.

Other usual causes are infection of testis or varicocoele which is dilatation of veins from testis. These can be diagnosed by physical examination by a Urologist.
Health Tips
If pain is sudden, severe and associated with swelling of balls, an immediate ultrasound scan should be done to rule out a condition called torsion or twisting, which can cause damage to the testis due to lack of blood supply.
