Pain after periods
After her periods are over, she feel heavy pain in lower stomach area. Sometimes it is so painful that she can even get unconscious. Please advise what could be the reason and how it can be treated?

For severe pain during periods and especially if they persist after periods are over also, a pelvic ultrasound should be done to rule out any problem like endometriosis, evidence of pelvic inflammatory disease etc. It could also be a normal symptom but the above disorders should be ruled out. Further treatment would then depend on the ultrasound report.
