It is a FDC drug, means a fixed dose combination of two antibiotics. There was a ban of FDC drugs recently due to concerns of lack of standardisation, possibility of prescription error from inexperienced doctors, possibility of dispensing error by pharmacists due to plenty of permutation/combinations and more importantly irrational drug combinations. Coming to your Medicine, it is a rational combination, suggested by many guidelines as first line for Respiratory Tracy infections. You can take them as separate tablets or a single tablet. (Cefixime with Azithromycin) A lot of pharmacists have created fear and panic among public regarding this issue.

Medicine is safe but due to lack of standard dose and issue of afficasy it's banned... So if you want to take same content Medicine then take it. As a separate medicine... So its not harmful... And also take it at different time like Tab Cifixime 200 mg 2 times a day mornind and evening and tab Azithromysin 500 mg one time at noon.
