Obsessive compulsive disease.
My brother is suffering from OCD. He has a habit of checking the things (like door is locked or not, phone is silent or not ) repeatedly. He has a habit of washing hands again and again. He has no concentration in his studies though he used to be a topper. He says that his life is nothing. He has no interest in his life. He consulted a psychologist. Firstly he suggested him a single tablet of serlin-50. After some time, the doctor increased this dose to two tablets. Now he has suggested to take three tablets of serlin-50. My brother is just 17. Is it safe to take three tablets a day in this age. Is there any safe alternative for this disease? Any counselling or anything. Please help.

If his symptoms are severe then he may need 150 mg of Sertraline or even more. The best way forward is to combine therapy ( CBT and other techniques) with medication with exercise and mindfulness.

Please seek help with a therapist /psychiatrist
