Overweight and unable to get myself to lose weight. I want to lose weight but struggling with motivation and consistency. I'm just 27 years old and just had a baby. I want to be healthy for my child. For myself. Being overweight has hampered my self confidence and also feel like my husband is losing interest in me. I have a very high body fat percentage and I want to reduce it and lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm trying but I'm unable to do it consistently.

First of all, thank you for being so open and honest — that’s the first step towards real change. I want you to know that you are not alone in feeling this way, especially after having a baby. Your body has gone through a lot, and it deserves love and care, not pressure.
Weight loss is not just about food or exercise — it's deeply connected to mindset, emotions, and daily routine. Motivation comes and goes, so what you really need is a sustainable routine that fits your lifestyle as a new mom.
Next Steps
Here are a few tips to get you started:
Start small — even 15-20 mins of daily walking at home can make a difference.
Focus on nourishing foods: simple home-cooked meals, more fiber, protein, and water.
Avoid harsh diets — they’re hard to stick with and usually lead to frustration.
Get 7–8 hours of sleep (as much as possible) — it helps reduce fat-storing hormones.
Include your baby in your routine — dance, walk, or stretch with them.
Lastly, be kind to yourself. Confidence doesn’t come from a number on the scale, it comes from how you treat yourself.
Health Tips
I’d be happy to help you with a customized diet plan based on your routine, likes, and goals. Feel free to connect with me personally — together we’ll make it manageable and enjoyable for you.
