Newborn baby has fits during delivery
I have baby with 1 month old. He got fits twice on delivery day due to lack of oxygen during delivery time. We did brain scan& its normal .. now he is perfectly fine.. Can we take polio drop now? Will it cause paralysis or any other health issue because of fits ? Should we take like other kids ?

Hello. Yes, you can go ahead to have polio drops for him. Hope he got polio drops at the time of discharge from the hospital as well!
Fits in babies in delivery can be due to other reasons as well apart from lack of oxygen. It can be due to low sugar or low calcium. Please get the baby thoroughly examined and screened by your pediatrician/ neonatal doctor for better management.

You can take polio drops. They are safe. They don't cause paralysis or other problems in such cases. Risk is similar to normal kids
