Needle sensation in throat

Hi my wife is 27yrs old .. she is having some pin type sensation in throat if she swallow .. there is no pain while eating food ..just if she swallow spit she feels lik that. This is second time it has happened to here .. 1st time it happened during her pregnancy time .. What problem is this exactly?
