You should go to the dental surgeon . He'll check your mouth lump and 'll give you proper advice after examination. You have not written about the tobbaco chewing or not. So dont worry first go to the dental surgeon.

Hi. . Don't be so alarmed as a small lump can be a simple swelling which can be easily treated. It is not necessarily something serious. But to diagnose the problem a proper history and evaluation is needed. So, please visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for an evaluation. Don't delay it as a problem detected early is easier to treat. Take care

Hello dear, Not all lumps are cancers. The lesion has to be examined before any diagnosis is made. And yes, proper history of your dietry habits, oral conditions of gums, teeth, tongue and cheek is important. A small lump can be due to food impactions, dental infections, other bacterial infections of the gums, mechanical trauma, chemical trauma(spicy or hot food) etc. Don't be afraid, but yes please be alarmed that small sepsis can sometimes lead to bigger problems if not treated. Please visit your dentist for the proper diagnosis.
