Neck Sprain
I had a neck sprain while sleeping. A week of physiotherapy did not provide adequate relief so I used OTC pain killers. They permanently removed about 90% of the pain but the remaining is still there even after 3-4 days since I stopped the medication.

Neck sprain can be caused due to wrong posture while sleeping or at work In spite of taking otc and Physiotherapy if pain is persistent do visit an Orthopaedic surgeon for clinical assessment He will further guide you about posture correction and some regular exercises for preventing the recurrence
