Neck lump near ear
My sister has a neck lump. She has a fever and strep throat. The doctor advised us to do an ultrasound. Attaching report. Also sent for biospy. They are based in Australia. Please guide me.

As per the report , it looks like lymph node chain most likely which is infected. The protocol which they are following is absolutely correct
You can get back with the biopsy reports once ready for further management

Take a course of antibiotic for now and go for FNAC / biopsy report comes back

Multiple lymph node swelling is common when there is active infection in the body, continue treatment for strep, give it 21 days , if is doesn’t decrease in size then further management

Since when is her complaints ?
As per the reports they’ve only mentioned she has multiple lymph nodes which means it’s a kind of defence reaction in the body during infection
But they have suggested an USG guided FNAC which will give a better result
Plus the biopsy report has to be considered

Fever is a sign of infection. Is there any history of Travel or contact with a patient of Tuberculosis? What is the vaccination history of the patient?
