Neck, Head
Hello doctor, Few weeks ago I took X-ray of my cervical and it showed straightening of neck due to muscle spasm. I took 2 physiotherapy sessions and took some meds like pregasip m, calcium and mayospaz regularly for few days and now on SOS. Pain  and stiffness is still around my neck and right side of my head. What should I do. Thank you.

If the pain and stiffness of the neck has not improved after completing the required physiotherapy sessions, consider MRI study of neck, cervical spine.Usually physiotherapy is helpful , wait for you complete it.

This is the first time I have heard the cervical spine being straight due to muscle spasm (seen in X ray). I suggest you consult an Orthopedic surgeon or a Neurosurgeon. Don't attribute your problem to muscle spasms .

It's unfortunate that you're still experiencing pain and stiffness in your neck and head. Muscle spasms can cause discomfort and can take time to fully resolve. Physiotherapy sessions can be helpful in addressing muscle spasms and improving flexibility and strength in the affected area. However, it's possible that more sessions may be needed for you to see significant improvement. In addition to physiotherapy, it's important to maintain good posture, practice gentle neck stretches and exercises as recommended by your  physiotherapist, and avoid activities that may strain your neck muscles. Regarding the medications you mentioned, Pregasip-M is a combination medication that contains pregabalin and methylcobalamin. Pregabalin is often used to treat nerve-related pain, while methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that may help with nerve function. Calcium supplements are commonly used to support bone health, and Myospaz tablet is a combination medication used to alleviate pain caused by muscle spasms. It is prescribed for treating musculoskeletal disorders, sprains, muscle spasms, fractures, headaches, pain, etc. Myospaz has both painkilling and muscle-relaxing properties. You can continue with physiotherapy and assess your self ,pain has decreased or increased or same as before..if it is decreasing, you can continue as advised above.. Consult if it persists
