Hello Doctor,
Being a new mother is great feeling but due to lack of sleep, I'm depressed and demotivated. My daughter is 24 days old and she does not sleep well. each hour she wakes up and Due to them my wife is unable to manage her sleep. Also I feel very hungry as i breast feed her. suggest how much calorie intake i should take as my daughter now feeds around 700 to 800 ml of breast milk. Some days I manage with just 400 to 500 ml due to lack of sleep and hunger. i drink lot of liquids. Suggest as i sleep only for 2 to 3 hour on daily basis only from past 24 days of delivery.

Hello.
Please be rest assured that you will have to consume as much as you can. In addition take Tab Iron, Tab Calcium and Vit D satchet to complement your daily intake. Yoga/ meditation excersizes are encouraged. I understand that the sleep cycle gets upset but you will have to take it in your stride. Please maintain hygiene and keep yourself hydrated. And don’t worry we all are with you.
