My son is 2 years old
My son is 2 years old and 8 months having cold and dry cough. So i gave saline nasal drops and immediately gave plain hot water steam inhalation to my baby . Is it safe?

But steam inhalation is not recommended at this age
Syp.chericoff 2.5ml twice a day for 2-3days

Okay tats good you gave saline drops.
Inhalation of steam it's k but not tat recommended..
Since I can't get to know how the actual condition of the child is so it's difficult for me to advice you anything regarding treatment of your baby
