My son has swallowed a 1Rs coin
He swallowed 1rs coin on Sunday night,I waited till yesterday to take an xray, but it hasn't come out in his stool, xray abdomen shows its in the centre of the abdomen.

Hi. Generally most of the swallowed foreign objects like coins come out in 4 to 6 days. Sometimes it may take 3 to 4 weeks also. Since it is a coin we can wait and watch. Daily observation of the stool for the coin. Normal diet. No need to give any medicine for increasing motions.

Report to doctor immediately if the child has any of these symptoms - pain Abdomen, vomiting, blood in stool or vomit, persistent fever
