My mom is hearing Unusual Voices
Hi, My mom has been hearing some Unusual Voices from last couple of years... We have been consulting a psychiatrist and giving her the medication prescribed by the doctor. There is not much change I see in her, rather things have gone worse....
Referring to her past, she had a stressful life and adding to it she lost her elder son (my elder brother). Now, the situation is that she doesn't like to come out of her room... She hear voices and replies back to it.
Appreciate if some one can suggest, whether I should consult a psychologist or consult a new psychiatrist???

This is an illness which will not respond to psychotherapy at this stage. Please see a different psychiatrist and get the meds changed.
