My mom has depression and hypertension
My mother takes oleanz 2.5 and clofranil 50 medication. I read its side effects to be severe. I can see my mom to be numb rather than being happy or cheerful. Can you suggest me what needs to be done? We have visited lot many doctors. But it has not helped much. I need her to live life happily like any of us.
Please suggest. Thanks.

While medication helps reduce the symptoms, it does not address the root cause of depression. She may need emotional support. Please get her to meet a counsellor, who can help her address her emotional needs & deal with her thoughts, feelings or other reasons that maybe the cause of her depression.
