Fever indicates infection is still present in your body. Each infection has fixed duration of fever. Usually viral fever stays for 3-7 days like that. If infections is lower down in your lungs then it may persist for more days. But regular follow up is required if symptoms are persistent or fever last more than 7 days. Any new symptom is there visit again to same pediatrician.
