Besides he suffers from illness very frequently. He eats rice and vegetables one time ..rice and curd one time ..three fruits ( banana, boiled apple and mosambi) everyday and one pice of fish/ chicken. And Aptamil Gold 3 in the morning as milk. If your son falls ill frequently, it means his immunity is low. Even if you are giving him, rice, vegetables, dairy, fruits and non veg he needs to have more calorie dense and protein foods as his protein intake seems to be less. Here are some tips to follow to improve his immunity and weight gain.
Add ½ tsp of ghee to his meals.
Add nuts and makhana powder to his milk.
Include aloo parathas or vegetable stuffed parathas in his meal.
Give besan or atta laddoo with jaggery, powdered nuts and ghee which will give him calories.
Include protein in both meals like dals, eggs, chicken, fish, legumes, and paneer.
Include vitamin C rich foods like oranges, berries, tomatoes, bell peppers as it helps in improving immunity.
Give him small and frequent meals.
Frequent illness can affect weight gain. Take the help of a pediatrician who will help to check for worm infections, nutrient deficiencies, or gut health issues.

Hello mam

For the child to gain weight since this is summer try to give shakes and smoothies post meals and between meals add almond + cashew+ figs powder in shakes. To build his infection fighting power(immunity) please offer a variety of foods, fruits- vegetables. Now the child is 2 years old and does not need to give steam fruits.
Hi
The normal weight is around 11-14 kg. Therefore, your child’s weight isn’t too low.
Check for the weight percentile at the time of birth. If it has reduced too much, then talk to paediatrician.
Include some healthy fats like ghee, butter, cheese in the diet.
1. One simple thing you can do is, encourage giving him small frequent meals instead of just three meals in a day like we adults have.
Children’s energy expenditure and digestion is way higher than ours hence they need to be fueled frequently.
2. You can try packing many things into one dish and make it look colourful. For example a Spinach Paratha Wrap. Here you can add spinach puree in the roti dough and add cut vegetables with curd dressing and make a wrap. You can also add 1 spoon of almond powder in the dough. This way you pack all the nutrients in one and it also looks interesting.
3. Make sure that your child is hydrated. Not just water but buttermilk, coconut water, fruit juices are also some options to be included.
