I am a mother of 8 year old boy. some past days my sons has cough and i took him to doctor for checkup Dr was recommend a test for him CBC and ESR now i got his reports and in that WBC range is high then normal range i want to now what can i do ?
The WBC is in his report is 11700.

This is a respiratory infection
Your reports are normal an 8 yr old child can have upper respiratory infection 4 times approx in a year .it is viral most of times so no need of antibiotics but if respiratory signs last for longer than 5 days or high grade fever which persists or Chest signs then will need pediatrician evaluation
