My child discomfortness in night
Hello Doctors, My son is 17 months old. He has a fever of 99°F, along with cough and cold. He is taking medicines, but for the past 3 nights he has been very restless. What could be the reason?

It may be due to a viral infection. 1. Keep the child well-hydrated. 2. If the child is active, playful, and feeding well, there is no need to worry. 3. Do tepid sponging to reduce fever. 4. If there is a nasal block, use saline nasal drops. 5. You may give Paracetamol syrup if the temperature is above 100°F. 6. Seek medical attention immediately if the child appears dull, refuses feeds, has persistent fever, or develops difficulty in breathing. Thank you.
