My 3 yr old son detected Covid positive
Hi All,
My 3 yr son has detected Covid postive. He had fever of 100.4 for 2 days after which we did the test which came positive. Below is the RT PCR report.
ORF1 ab Gene = 13
N gene =11
RNase gene =24
My family doctor has not prescribed any medicine and informed us to give crocin after gap of 6hrs and monitor oxygen level which currently reads 98%.
Do I need to give him any other medications?

In mean time general measures to be taken as in any other viral infection like good hydration, rest, antipyretics as prescribed and keep monitoring child's SpO2. In case of lethargy, irritability, poor oral intake, vomiting/diarrhoea and fast breathing...... immediately visit pediatrician with prior information about his COVID status to the pediatrician.
