Mucosal prolapse->fistula

Can mucosal prolapse cause perianal fistula? ..I have a perianal fistula .I'm gonna do surgery. No diagnosis .all test results negative. I feel like I had mucosal prolapse for months.. Can it be the reason for fistula ?

Hello there. Yes, it can. But I don't understand what you mean when you say "no diagnosis" and "I'm gonna do surgery" does it mean you have diagnosed on your own and will perform surgery by yourself? Hello yes sometimes it may lead to fistula consult surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.
