Schmorl lesion is a normal incidental finding . However coming to your symptoms if you are badly affected with pain affecting your lifestyle you need surgery. Otherwise nonoperative management with precautions of backache which your physiotherapist will guide you is enough as long as your bowel and bladder control is fine. Posting MRI scan pictures will be good so that we can correlate both Scan findings and Clinical scenario
