Just rinse your mouth after every meal. Use Chlorhexidine (Periogard) mouthwash for 2 months. Then discontinue and use Listerine or Colgate Plax. But remember these are secondary, primarily you maintain good oral hygiene through regular use of toothbrushing and flossing.

Immediately after eating, it's advisable to rinse with water or an antibacterial mouthwash to remove loose food particles. Tooth brushing is best delayed for at least 30 min after meals .
Mouthwashes containing germ fighting ingredients like chlorhexidine can help fight bad breath.
However the most common cause of bad breath is deposits on teeth. So, it would be a good idea to visit your dentist and correct the underlying cause.
Hello,
Regular professional cleaning of your teeth once in 6 months, rinsing your mouth after every meal/snack with water and using a good antimicrobial mouthwash like Freshchlor twice daily will help you on the long run.
