Mouth ulcers
I am frequently getting mouth ulcers under my tongue. Worried about it now. I have extra teeth growth in between 1st molar and 2nd bicuspid, in lower both sides towards inside. Is there any connection between the frequent ulcers and the extra teeth? i am to consult ENT or dentist? Any mouth cancer symptom? Help.

Hi.. Don't b worried. There are many reasons for ulcers. 1.First reason is nutritional deficiency that is not taking vitamins in our diet, start taking fruits and vegetables in diet which will help in replenish any deficit in your diet. 2. Second reason being any sharp tooth or filling. As you are saying that you feel there is an extra tooth in your lower jaw. Usually space for normal functioning of tongue reduces because of malaligned teeth, which cause friction between soft tissue and teeth leading to ulcers. 3. Viral fever also cause for oral ulcers 4. Also Apthous ulcers, which has an unknown cause. Treatment for ulcers is symptomatic. 1. Have lot of water and start taking fruits and vegetables in diet. 2. Avoid spicy food. 3. Warm saline mouth rinses 4. Oral examination by dentist to look for cause for ulcers and then definitive treatment for that.
