Dear Patient, Oral gels only provide temporary relief for ulcers. For complete management and treatment of ulcers, the underlying causative reason should be eradicated, which can be Vit B12, folate deficiency, stomach issues etc. So for complete treatment, do visit a dentist.

Application of oral gels can only give a temporary relief. Recurring Ulcers can happen due to multiple reasons like Hematologic Deficiencies ( iron, folate, Vit.B 12 ); Psychological stress ; anxiety; trauma from any sharp edges of teeth and allergy to any specific food. Hence, for proper treatment we need to find out the causative factor in your sister's case.Accordingly, definite treatment can be started. You may visit an experienced Oral Medicine specialist regarding the same.
