Even after brushing everyday my mouth leaves a bad odour after couple of hours. Can you suggest me which particular doctor shall I visit? A dentist or a general medicine doctor?

The most common cause of halitosis is bad oral hygiene. If particles of food are left in the mouth, their breakdown by bacteria produces sulfur compounds. Keeping the mouth hydrated can reduce mouth odor. The best treatment for bad breath is regular brushing, flossing, and hydration.
It can be because of decayed tooth, gum disease, metabolic disorders. Consult a dentist
Next Steps
U can use breath sprays on amazon or chemist. Mint chewable tables. But finally have to consult dentist for permanent solution for example cleaning, fillings or it can be either systemic medication.
My advice brush twice, rinse after every thing u have. Use mouthwash, and sprays

Hello sir,
Bad breathe may be due to local factor and also due to general health issues.
Local factors may be due to tartar in the tooth , due to any decayed or infected tooth , decreases salivation.
Other factors like metabolic disorders , fasting i.e starvation for a longer time, reduced intake of water.
Firstly you can come and consult we can do a check up scaling polishing and filling can be done if any decayed tooth if the bad breathe does not subside. We will have to rule out the general conditions.
Metabolic disturbances could cause bad mouth odour..hence advisable to consult a general Physician and rule out any systemic problems or address if there are any systemic concerns.. Infection in tooth..or gums is next possible cause for foul order or lack of oral hygeine..food impaction..such concerns can be addressed by a dentist..
Next Steps
you could try flossing your teeth..use a mouth rinse..and keep your oral hygeine at all times with regular flossing brushing and rinsing..and do not forget to consume lot of water
