Missed periods
My periods as they are 5 weeks late. I am not sure if this due to PCOS condition that I have or it's an unwanted pregnancy. I had my last period on 25 Oct. and I missed the one in Nov 23. I had met my partner on Nov 5 but there was no penetration. I had taken the medicines to induce periods as suggested by my gynaecologist but they're still not here.

Hello, Since there has been no penetration, you are unlikely to be pregnant. Did you do a urine pregnancy test? If not then do a urine pregnancy test to confirm whether you are pregnant or not. If the result is positive, you are pregnant and then consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation. If the result is negative then consult a gynaecologist and get yourself evaluated to rule out other causes of delayed periods.

Hi, there are many reasons which causes delayed period like certain medications, hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, taking foods with less nutrition and stress etc. If its pregnany you can get a urine pregnancy test in your home itself. Stopping medications causing delayed periods will itself improve your condition.if its stress related and due to poor nutrition following a well balanced healthy diet with daily morning regular brisk walking, yoga and meditation is helpful.Hormonal imbalance like thyroid abnormality can result in delayed periods so treating the cause improves the condition or PCOS( polycystic ovarian syndrome)can also be a cause. If its a PCOS, you may also experience pimples, weight gain, excessive hair growth on your body, sometimes even depression will be there, based on the history you are mentioning I am suspecting hormonal imbalance, so kindly consult a gynecologist for further management.
